Cutting
Time to get all the little pieces in the Little Pumpkin Pattern cut out, as well as your sashing and border pieces. If you have a kit, all the pumpkin pieces are already cut, you just need to cut your background fabric. I included a background fabric cutting suggestion card with the pumpkin kits, and you can click the link below to download it here as well! 🙌
A couple of my favorite tools for keeping everything organized are:
Alphabitties...
...handy for keeping pieces straight, sometimes I use them but I often don’t too. Here’s a pic with everything labeled as it is in the pattern if that’s helpful!

Project Boards
if you haven’t heard of these yet, they're the best! I love to using them to keep everything straight while I’m cutting. Lori Holt has a great post and video on how to make them, and you can also find for them for sale at fatquartershop.com. I highly recommend making one or two or several... I use them all the time and always wish I had more!

I have a few different sizes, some that are bound and some are just batting glued to foam core, nothing fancy. But it does really hold everything in place and help me keep track when I have a lot of little pieces. I like to lay my pieces out where they’ll actually go in the block. For a smaller project like this I will sometimes stack them all on top of each other to make for easy chain piecing.

Just realized there was a kit available, any still available? How much? I guess I need that to get measurements for pumpkins. I have downloaded background cutting instructions. Please let me know. I'm excited. marilynstephens310@gmail.com
